“Design is all about learning from doing. That’s how we evolve to the best solution.”
— Tim Brown, IDEO
As a UX Design practitioner, I believe in an “outside-in “perspective when delivering an experience for end users. Design is a tool that can be leveraged to deliver change. The Design Process is a vehicle for discovering solutions and delivering value facing various dilemmas or challenges.
Understanding the full picture of the job users seek to accomplish allows teams to identify key micro experiences that shape the overall maco experience. As a result, I am a disciple of Jobs to Be Done Theory (JTBD). Armed with the insights derived via experimentation, teams can confidently build effective solutions. I advocate for the Agile UX school of thought to support Agile teams. Breaking down UX work into bite-sized chunks that support an agile software environment is critical for increasing productivity, collaboration, and communication within cross-disciplined agile teams. A continuous discovery approach allows teams to adapt to ever-changing market conditions and evolve strategies to fit market demands.
